Ilaria Montanari is an italian girl, born and grew up in Santarcangelo di Romagna, near Rimini.
During her training, she attended the Technical Institute of Turism and meanwhile she travelled a lot and visited the most important European cities.
Since she was a child, she has the passion for art and color. In her journeys, she noticed that cities are full of graphic elements and this made her feel the need of following the graphic call. She tried to join the Industrial Design Faculty at ISIA in Faenza but she didn't pass the second round of tests. After that, she resolved to attend the Faculty of Fashion in Rimini: she liked it and passed all the exams in the first year, but the passion for design was too strong and the next year she took the admission test for the course of Industrial Design at IUAV University of San Marino. She graduated cum laude in 2009 and a few months later she had the chance to be teaching assistant of graphic designer and teacher Marco Molteni during the SanMarinoSeptemberWorkshop.

She was an internship at the Agenzia Image in Ravenna, which she still works with. From three years she worked with Stefano Tonti for the communication of SI Fest, an International Festival of Photography in Savignano sul Rubicone. She participated in several workshop of graphic and product design. She published: Bruno Munari Stamps, set of commemorative stamps for the centenary marking Bruno Munari’s birth. (Firts classified of the competition); The Skin as a Boundry, book design with CorrainiStudio and Studio Blumer. (Public presentation at Luisa delle Piane Gallery during Salone del Mobile in April, 2009) and she won the first award of Ateneo brand competition in San Marino.

Currently she lives in Venice, where she studies and works on the bachelor thesis for the Visual and Multimedia Communication Design course.
